"For You" by Keith Urban was written after Urban saw the movie "Act of Valor" and co wrote it with Monty Powell. Urban stated that he "wanted to capture the essence of not only what these men and women do so extraordinarily, but how that relates to all of us."

Description & Discussion:

In tribalism, we learn to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. My actions not only affect me, but it affects the men and women to my right and left. Trust and respect needs to be a part of the team, and with that, more can be accomplished that one realizes.

Decision, Design, & Discipline:

If you take care of your team, they will take care of you. Trust has to be distributed evenly among the team, from the lowest member to the most senior. If you trust your employees and invest in their lives, they are capable of producing outstanding work.

Delegate more of your work. Ask members of your team about ideas that they have. Learn about their home life and career goals: Ask what they want to accomplish in life, see how you can help them reach their goals.
